Dear Microsoft, I am fed up with having to take your non-compliant shit! I hearby announce Internet Explorer shall not be supported by me... EVER.

My advice to readers is ditch the massive resource guzzling, insecure, standards non-compliant pile of crap and use something safer, faster and better! See my list.

PocketPlanner

Todays busy lifestyle often leads us to need to note tasks down, and with all the technology around us; Phones, PDAs, the fantastic conglomeration of a PDA and Phone known as the smartphone, all allow us to take our lives with us in our pockets! Are these solutions effective? Sometimes it is a bind to type a task into your callendar, you need to also set a reminder! Does your phone always go off? What if you set the reminder whilst you are in a meeting and your phone goes off on silent? Little things that make the technology that little bit more trying and more effort.

Another solution? A personal planner. Scientists say you have a better recollection of memory if you write the task/note down! The act of converting mental thoughts to written text (via a pen-like device) helps to settle the thought into short-term memory, giving it better chance of making it into long-term memory. Problem is personal planners are usually not very pocket friendly, despite some fantastic products like the diary and the Moleskine.

Knoxious.co.uk's solution is a PocketPlanner, which is basically a week long planner to aid in whichever solution you wish to use. You can use it primarily for note taking, or you can use it as a sort of 'index' to reference to a more substantial note found in a mobile device or personal planner. Either way it is designed to always be in your pocket and to enhance your ability to organize.

There are two templates available, Week and Academic. The difference is that the academic planner does not include Saturday and Sunday however includes two notes pages.

I personally use the 'academic' flavour for I do not really plan my weekends.
